DG's Message

Maj Gen. Ali Farhan, HI(M)

During 42 years of continued dedication to public service, SCO has always strived for improved telecom facilities in most difficult areas of Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. By the grace of Allah Almighty, SCO has been able to keep pace with the latest technological developments despite challenges of terrain and extreme weather conditions. The quality of telecomm services being extended to the people living in far flung areas are comparable to those being provided in other parts of the country.

Pak-China OFC Project with diverse strategic and socio-economic dimensions has provided a firm pedestal onto which future ICT developments in remote regions of Pakistan and along CPEC corridor can be built. Besides being a project of strategic significance, it has potential of generating substantial revenue for Pakistan.

I can say with confidence that SCO with its vast experience, expertise and after successful completion of Pak-China OFC project in a record time of less than 2 years is ideally suited to play further role in CPEC by leading all development in ICT realm. I pray to Allah Almighty to give strength and courage to all in SCO to serve the people of Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan with best ICT services and matching customer care. Ameen, Pakistan Zindabad
